To keep your changes and eliminate the original document with the old margins, simply click the “File” tab and click “Save,” which overwrites the old file with the new. You may create interesting text shapes such as a first-line, or hanging, indent, where the text with the bullet is not exactly aligned as when the two arrows match. Click a check mark into the “Ruler” box in the “Show” section of the ribbon. It is present by default, but if you have closed it, click the “View” tab.
